Ataxo at the Using Internet Marketing Conference

Ataxo participated in the conference Using Internet Marketing, which was a part of Reklama, Polygraf 2007, a fair trade of advertising services. The conference was organized by Tuesday Business Network. Matěj Novák gave an interesting and useful presentation on behalf of Ataxo titled “Why Has Google Revolutionized Internet Marketing”. He explained what is exceptional about Google and how it can influence Czech online advertising in the future.

Other presentations were given by Media Factory, Aspect Works In and by David Špinar from H1, who spoke about “How to Make Your Web Site Sell”.

Ataxo at the Conference Adstandard 2007

We attended a two-day conference on the future prospects of interactive advertising organized by the InternetStandart and Gazeta.pl at the end of May in Warsaw. Some of the most famous Polish portals, such as Onet, WP, Interia, Gadu-Gadu, o2 or Gemius participated in the event, as well as many media, marketing agencies, and advertising network representatives.

The conference focused on the latest trends in Internet marketing, the fastest growing segment of the advertising market. The Polish market is no exception to this trend and last year saw an almost 59.3 % increase in the investment into online advertising (according to the 2006 report by IAB Polska). The estimated online advertising turnout should exceed US$9.8 million this year. Just to compare, the European leader in online advertising, Great Britain, had a 11.4 % increase in the internet advertising turnout in 2006 (source: Pricewaterhouse Coopers, IAB UK).

The biggest Polish portal Onet.pl introduced its newest offer – OnetKwadras and video advertising. The fifteen-minute commercials broadcast on all of the portal’s pages should reach approximately 250,000 visitors in total. Another new feature is the video-on-demand, which will also enable people to watch commercial spots. Another portal offering online TV broadcasting is Wirtualna Polska, the second largest Polish portal, which now plans to include multimedia supplied by other producers.

Other new channels for online marketing, such as e.g. blogs and new forms of search marketing, were also discussed, as well as other topics, such as the Google Analytics tool.

We enjoyed watching the examples of the successful and the less successful interactive campaigns, which were a part of almost every presentation. All in all, the Adstandard 2007 Conference has been a source of interesting and helpful information.
